This voluntary limited warranty covers qualifying defects in materials or workmanship in regulation-size tenpin bowling balls purchased from uniquebowling.com. The standard term is one year from the purchase date; public rental or house-ball use is covered for 90 days from the original purchase date.
1. Warrantor and scope
This voluntary Limited Warranty is provided by Linxora LLC, doing business as Unique Bowling ("Unique Bowling," "we," "us," or "our"), for regulation-size tenpin bowling balls purchased directly from https://uniquebowling.com.
It applies only to the original direct purchaser, including a qualifying commercial purchaser, and is not transferable, except to the extent applicable law gives rights to another owner or holder. It covers all regulation-size ball weights actually sold by our store, including 6 lb models where offered.
This warranty does not automatically cover custom shoes, pins, apparel, accessories, gift cards, or any other product category. A different product is covered by a voluntary warranty only if that warranty is expressly stated on the applicable product page or in a separate written warranty. Any mandatory legal guarantee continues to apply.
2. Warranty period
For qualifying personal-use bowling balls, the warranty period is one year from the original purchase date. For a ball used as a public rental or house ball, the voluntary warranty period is 90 days from the original purchase date. Personal use at home or in a club is not, by itself, public rental or house-ball use.
We may verify the purchase date through your order record or other reasonable proof of purchase. These voluntary periods do not shorten any longer period or remedy that applicable law requires.
3. What this warranty covers
During the applicable warranty period, this warranty covers defects in materials and/or workmanship. Coverage assumes normal intended indoor use, reasonable cleaning and care, appropriate indoor storage, and compliance with product instructions. A claim is assessed from the available facts, which may include photographs, use and storage history, and inspection of the product.
Examples of potentially covered conditions may include abnormal cracking, separation, or another material or workmanship failure that is not caused by an excluded event. Ordinary evidence of use does not, by itself, prevent review of an otherwise qualifying manufacturing defect.
4. What this warranty does not cover
This voluntary warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear, routine lane or surface scratches, or purely cosmetic changes consistent with ordinary use;
- damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidental dropping, impact, unsuitable storage, extreme temperatures, failure to follow product instructions, or unreasonable care;
- damage caused by improper drilling, improper resurfacing, unsuitable or improperly installed components, or another damaging alteration or modification;
- damage caused or contributed to by drilling a ball weighing less than 10 lb with a layout, bit specification, insert, slug, or other component that is unsuitable for that model or weight under the applicable drilling instructions;
- a ball fitted with finger inserts or thumb inserts;
- damage caused by commercial travel handling, including air, rail, or bus travel, when unrelated to delivery of your order by us;
- a spelling choice, image, artwork, layout, or other customization accurately reproduced from the final version approved by the customer; or
- performance preferences or outcomes, including a particular score, hook, competitive result, or universal tournament eligibility.
The finger/thumb-insert exclusion is categorical under this voluntary warranty. The under-10 lb drilling exclusion and the other damage-based exclusions apply when the relevant act or condition caused or contributed to the claimed damage. Mere drilling of a 6–9 lb ball does not exclude an unrelated manufacturing defect. A material departure from the approved design or specifications, or defective workmanship, is not excused merely because the product is customized.
Reasonable differences between a digital preview and a physical custom product may occur as disclosed in our Customization and Design Approval Policy. That disclosure does not excuse a material error in placement, spelling, image reproduction, or workmanship attributable to us.
5. How to make a claim
Submit the claim during the applicable warranty period and within a reasonable time after discovering the problem. Email support@uniquebowling.com and include:
- your order number or other reasonable proof of purchase;
- the original purchase date;
- a concise description of the problem and when it appeared;
- clear photographs or video showing the condition; and
- relevant information about drilling, inserts, use, cleaning, storage, and any modification.
If an order can be verified in our systems, the absence of a paper receipt will not by itself prevent review. Stop using a ball that may be unsafe or structurally damaged. Continued use may increase the risk of injury or further damage.
6. Review, inspection, and returns
We may first conduct a remote review and may then request a reasonable physical inspection. Contact us before sending any product. We will provide the correct destination and shipping instructions if a return is needed. Do not send a product to our business correspondence address unless we specifically authorize that destination in writing.
If the claim is covered, we will not charge an automatic processing fee or pass on reasonable, necessary inspection, return-shipping, or replacement-delivery costs. For a cross-border claim that cannot initially be determined remotely, we may agree with you in advance on a reasonable reimbursable shipping arrangement.
If inspection does not identify a covered defect, we will explain the result and arrange return of the product where applicable. Any non-warranty inspection, repair, or shipping charge payable by you must be reasonable, disclosed in advance, and accepted by you before it is incurred.
7. Remedy for a covered claim
For a covered manufacturing defect, our primary remedy is replacement with the same product or a product of equal value, selected by us where reasonable. We will seek your agreement before changing the weight, approved design, or another material specification. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, cannot be provided within a reasonable time, or applicable law requires a different remedy, we may provide a refund or another legally required remedy.
A replacement does not restart or extend the original voluntary warranty period; it remains covered for the unexpired portion of the original period, unless applicable law requires a longer period. Reasonable, necessary return and replacement shipping for a confirmed covered claim will be handled under our written instructions and will not be charged to the customer.
8. Limits on liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Unique Bowling is not liable under this voluntary warranty for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from a product defect or warranty claim. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any mandatory consumer remedy.
9. Statutory and implied-warranty rights
This Limited Warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty. It supplements and does not replace statutory consumer guarantees, and it does not mean that all legal remedies end when the voluntary warranty period expires. We do not disclaim implied warranties where such a disclaimer is prohibited.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state and country to country. Consumers outside the United States retain any mandatory rights under the laws applicable to them. If this warranty conflicts with a non-waivable legal right, that legal right controls.
